Reluctantly up for sale is my 1987 MasterCraft ProStar 190 with an ultra-rare factory outfitted outboard. This is not a Barefoot model, but is an actual ProStar. If you are not familiar with MasterCraft ski boats, most are inboards, but this particular boat was ordered by Cypress Gardens in Florida to haul their ski team and they needed extra interior space for the team members so they made this boat as an outboard. It originally had an 87 Mercury Black Max 200, but I replaced that in 2013 with a freshly rebuilt 03 Optimax Mercury 200. Yes, this is a very powerful motor for such a light boat. You will have no problem pulling your friends with this boat. All work was done by certified Mercury mechanics. New controls were added at the time of the motor swap. There are about 50 hours on the motor which runs flawlessly. I just pulled the boat out and hooked it up to muffs for the first time this season and it fired right up. I've never had any problems with the boat, although some of the gauges don't work. For example, being a ski boat it has two speedos used to allow you to pull two skiers at the same exact speed, however they don't work accurately. I'm told it needs a new bag. As for actually powering the boat and having fun on the water safely, everything works great. The pictures speak for themselves. The boat is beautiful and in fantastic shape. I cannot go to a boat ramp or even to a gas station without people coming up to me and asking about the boat and commenting about how amazing it looks for being 30 years old. Even "boat guys" are amazed when I tell them the year of the boat. The original upholstery is starting to show some wear in a few spots, but overall it looks great. There is one spot of dock rash which is shown in the photos. But it shouldn't be too hard for someone competent to fix the gel coat. With the obvious exception of the motor, everything on the boat is original. The trailer is also original and is in excellent shape. Tires are great and it just made a trip from the Canadian border without a problem.Included in the sale is an extra four-blade prop, life vests, paddle, fenders, line, ski rope, and HUGE eight-foot wide tube. This is easily $1000 worth of gear, with the prop alone being about $600.I can't tell you how great this boat is. You truly have to see and you'll see how it's like the 60's muscle car of boats. I'm only selling because I'm moving across the country to a place without water. Price is less than what I paid for the motor in 2013!
