It was reported that this boat ran aground onto the rocks and did damage to the hull of the boat as well as to the lower unit and prop. The boat did take on some water but it was reported that it was pumped out and the engines flushed and ran to take the boat to the marina to be hauled out.

I've got an eye on another Contessa that needs a motor (and a rear awning). Assuming yours is in 'running order', what is the possibility of using the engine out of your boat.
I have a trailer if absolutely necessary to take whole boat away but it's a long haul, and a not inexpensive one, back to Ontario. Would rather pay a mechanic to remove yours.
If we could not manage extracting the engine, I would need to show that I owned the boat at the border and that it was sold for parts and removal.
