Wellcraft Scarab 400

Reluctantly selling my Scarab project boat. I bought the boat exactly as you see it and have done nothing to it except turn through the engines and remove the drives for safe keeping. This boat was part of a purchase at a marina for abandoned vessels,along with 3 others.I bought it for the trailer for my 40' Cougar. The trailer is a bad as s custom built tube chassis that would rival any Myco out there.It fits the boat perfectly and was custom braced just for this boat. It will fit many others but the pads are set for this boat. Has 6 good alloy wheels and tires. Will travel anywhere.No titles for either the boat or trailer , but will give you a bill of sale and can provide tags and registration for the trailer in your name for an additional 100.00.

The boat is in great shape and has all the goodies you would expect. The rumor is that the guy paid over 60k for this about 7 years ago and then got upside down. It has twin 502's and completely rebuilt TRS drives(verified) The boat is in great condition and really just needs a cleaning and fresh batteries and gas as well as a general going though of the systems. The boat was drained of all water before being laid up and no signs of water damage anywhere. The top cushions are water saturated,so the engine hatch is freakin seriously heavy...enough so that when I lifted it(with all my might) and went to set it down,it fell quickly with my hand in the lift strap and literally FLIPPED me off the boat with my hand still in the strap!! It was like something out of a movie. It has a lift cylinder, but is not connected.

The boat has a full head and galley. The interior is all like day one and in excellent shape. It's all Miami vise looking and real cool if you still wear sport coats with jeans!Maybe a mullet.

Just so you know,I am in the marine salvage business so selling the trailer for 3500,the drives for 2000,the big blocks for 1000 each as cores and the boat as a stripped hull for 2000 is not a stretch by any imagination and there are countless goodies onboard. The tab will easily be over 9k,so no games here,I expect none from you. If you have champagne taste on a beer budget, keep moving. This is a one time deal, if it doesn't sell,I will part the boat.
