1984 wellcraft 340 iii. I have had this boat for four years. When I bought it in 2014 I took it to schrock repair in goodfield and I had all fluids changed, including the drives. fuel separators were also changed. I had both drives removed to inspect the bellows ,which were fine, u joints were lubed new gaskets put on and reinstalled. both sea water pump impellers were replaces at this time. Since then it has been maintained and winterized as well as stored inside there. The only thing the boat has needed since then is one battery and one ignition switch. Other than that it has started and ran each time without issue. The boat is a 1984 Scarab 340. It, in my opinion, is in really good shape for an 84. It has bumps and bruises here and there but looks and sounds awesome in the water. it has two 454 big blocks with edelbrock intakes and carbs. They have mild cams that give it a great sound at idle. It will run in the low 60's but cruises great at 45-50 at about 3K rpms. And that is usually where I keep it as I really enjoy being on it and not fixing things that I broke because I was beating on it. They have 400 and 500 hrs showing on the metersIt has plenty of room in the cabin with two chairs and a couch as well as a bed in the v-berth. The boat does have a couple items that I know don't work but don't bother me. the trim tabs don't always work but the boat it big enough that I use the drives to level it out and it rides true in the water loaded with people. the bilge pump needs replaced but I don't leave it in the water so never been an issue. The spot light on the front doesn't work all the time but I have a hand held I take so again not an issue. I'm sure with the age some is likely a ground issue but again has not kept me from using it.
The boat has cockpit seating for 8 and drop down bolsters up front. the seat behind the captain can be folded up out of the way for more room. It has room for more in the cabin as well as a head with pump out that comes in handy. I have never plugged in the shore power so I am not sure if the fridge works either. it has a drop down DVD player with remote that I have never turned on eiter. The stereo works great and is wired for more speakers. I had both sun pads re appolstered last year and the rear bench could use it this year as it pulling away at the seems. The trailer is a 1980 Rollco and I put 6 new tires on it last year. It is prolly due for bearings soon or at least checked. The trailer was a surge brake trailer that has been welded. the axles have brakes but there is not a master cylinder for brakes to work. It has not been an issue for me as my truck stops it ok. I have towed this boat to chicago and had it on Lake Michigan for the air and water show and it towed fine. The fenders are ok on the trailer but for looks should be replaced. I enjoy the boat and am looking at a different one is the only reason for selling. I have the title to both boat and trailer in hand. I like the boat it's been great around here and on the lake as it handles bigger waves just fine. It is however an 84 so it needs care and attention as all older boats do. But for me it does everything I have ever wanted and is ready to go when I need it.
Boat is listed locally and I reserve the right to end auction if it sells.
