Thompson started building quality boats in 1905. Their unique claim to fame was to bolt side boards securely to oak ribs with bronze bolts, making one of the strongest wooden boats ever. The Thompson company was partially purchased by Chris Craft in 1962, who also made the same lapstrake boats from Thompson specs.
Gorgeous hue with rich tones on smooth finished Mahogany wood. Mint condition upholstery, Bimini and complete cover. Nice chrome on bow light, cleats, gauges emblems. Perfect condition original "Sparkle metalflake" steering wheel, with no cracks.Vintage speedometer, spot light and horn all operate correctly. Very rare, Original dual engine controllers, and dual ignition switches.Pop out windshields for great ventilation on hot days!
Very rare twin Johnson 35 hp motors in excellent condition. Easy starting with original electric choke buttons from dash. All necessary maintenance has been performed for trouble free operation.
Compression tested @120 lbs per cylinder.
New Fuel pumps, spark plugs, carb kits, Battery, impellers, New base coat clearcoat paint.
Motors come with the original owners manual, parts manual, and shop manual. Current registration, clear Ohio titles for boat and motors. Have registration for trailer.
Pristine interior with fold down seats for lounging or sleeping. Comfortably seats six to seven adults. Storage under front and back seats. New boat cover and Bimini fold down convertible top. Original floor boards are refinished and easily accessible under loose carpet pad.
Trailer Is fully restored: has new tires, bearings, brakes, lights, jack and has been sandblasted, primed and painted. Newly carpeted bunks. Pulls very nicely.
This boat has been preserved with he best materials. Fresh water boat from northern Michigan, properly maintained and stored.
-All old paint was stripped to bare wood.
-All solid wood: there is no rotten wood on the boat anywhere.
-Restoration was performed on no soak, 100 percent dry wood. No paint or caulking over wet wood.
-Total New Bottom for years of worry free use.
-Keel was removed and all bottom seams were cleaned sealed with thixoflex epoxy.
-Interlux 2000E epoxy was applied to bottom followed by Ablative paint.
-Hull inside area was media blasted and coated with Epoxy sealer, followed by clear finish as original.
At sixty years old, this Thompson Sea Lancer is Sixty years old, is in pristine condition. The vessel is one hundred percent operational with all systems functioning correctly. All safety equipment is included.New bilge pump with automatic switch. All maintenance is 100 percent up to date and the boat was in the water and enjoyedrecently.
