Up for sale is a VERY rare 16ft Sutphen. I took me reaching out to Sutphen directly with the HIN to figure out its a Sport Pacer. its a very rare boat. It was originally built in Lake Hopatcong, NJ for a gentleman in Brooklyn, NY with no factory motor. its been an on going project for me and with a new baby I just dont have the time. The motor is a 1970's Chevy Big Block 454. Easily 550 to 600HP! The engine measured .040 over with a full comp cams top end, nitrous ready kit (Cam, lifters, push rods, Roller rockers, valve springs, umbrellas, locks, and timing chain setup), Victor Jr intake, holley double pumper 750, full pertronix marine electronic ignition and coil, fuel pump was removed as well as the rod (which I have) an internally regulated electric fuel pump was installed at the time the motor went back in after paint and freeze up plugs. The exhaust is aluminum liquid cooled Gleenwood headers attached to over the top rewarder chrome megaphone pipes. I upgraded the plumbing to stainless steel and brass fittings from Teague Custom Marine for corrosion prevention and increased the line size for performance. I also re-routed all the plumbing so it is done correctly. This drives a Berkely 12-JF Pump with an upgraded Stainless steel propThe hull needs minor restoration at this point. I started to re-gel coat the top of the boat. It needs sanding and paint. Trailer has new tires and a newer led light kit. Transoms were good when I took the motor out and were not soft when I put the motor back in a few days ago. Just finished up restoration on the floor including new stringers, new plywood, and 2 layers of fiberglass and resin. the floor is solid. I upgraded to single action controls for Trim/Forward/Reverse, new steering from the wheel to helm to jet, new carpet will go with the boat, NAV lights were all upgraded to LED. Has what appears to be a 25-30 gal plastic fuel cell in the front which is in great shape. The boat seats 4 comfortably and a cooler could seat 5 if you get lunch on the water.. has the original front seats but not the rear. previous owner made one up. I started to vinyl wrap the front just to see what it would look like and this appears to be the easier way to cover up the messy paint and just get her on the water.this is like a vintage car and I'm told its worth upwards of 20k+ restored from multiple sources. This boat is FAST and will be a very nice boat again.
The engine alone is worth over $5k.if you are out of state and want it shipped we can talk about a shipper picking it up. I trust the trailer to go anywhere but I am not responsible for what you do after its hitched
