NO RESERVEShe began her life in Florida until 1996 when she was moved to the Maryland/DC area used in the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac waters. I purchased her in 2012 and moved her to the James River outside Richmond Va.Unlike most boats of this class built now, this one is set up to spend live-aboard like time on her with hot/cold running water, Heat/AC unit plus separate electric heater built into side under the right seating area, stove, microwave, refrigerator, head w/shower and sink, ice maker, 12 and 110 volt lighting, mood lighting strips in walls, 3000W power inverter. Has 30Amp shore power hookup. She is currently documented with the Coast Guard.Model 1988 41SELength 42ftBeam 8.6ftEngines Twin Mercruiser 454's 465HP EachTransmissions Velvet DrivesLower Units TRS DrivesProps 4 Blade SSGenerator Onan 4.0Electronics include Si-Tex Radar, Two GPS units, Chart Plotter (C-Map Type), VHF Radio. Two Remote Control 360 degree flood lights mounted on radar arch plus two docking lights mounted in the front of the hull.Interior is in excellent condition except for the headliner material coming unglued in places. All the fuel lines from the fill pipes to the tanks and from the tanks to the engines have been replaced as well as the fresh water lines from the tank to the hot water heater.I have two new sun deck pad covers for the engine cover doors that are solid white unlike the black and white striped ones on there now, a bimini top, and a camper canvas. The camper canvas came with the boat when I purchased her. I have never opened it up and have no idea its condition. It and all the poles that go with it have been stored in my garage. The bumpers, ropes and anchor all go with the boat.IMPORTANT NOTES:The port engine took on water and spun a rod bearing. It turns over but will need to be rebuilt or replaced. The intake manifold is brand new and the water incursion happened the first time out after having been replaced so thinking something didn't seal properly. The engine has been partially disassembled in preparation for removal but due to health issues on my end, that is as far as it got.The starboard engine has no issues. The generator worked fine when I bought the boat but I never used it after the first year so it has not been run since 2013. It will need to be gone over good and most likely need the carb rebuilt. The paint is original and in very good condition but it had been clear coated sometime before I purchased her. The clear coat began peeling several years ago and I have been slowly removing it as it came loose. It is maybe 75% or so removed so far.TRAILER:The trailer is of aluminum I-beam construction and was specially designed for this hull. It was built in 1996 and is titled as such with a Virginia title with a 9 ton rating. It has a surge brake setup with new disc brakes and surge pump. All six tires were replaced new last spring. It also has a reverse release solenoid that can be wired to the backup light wiring of the tow vehicle to stop the brakes from locking up while backing. This boat is a classic that Sonic only produced for the 1988 and 89 years. It was intended to compete with designs of boats like the Wellcraft Scarab, Chris Craft Stinger, etc. This boat can be completely refurbished from the hull up to whatever setup is desired for at least 1/4 the cost of outfitting and purchasing a new one with all the same amenities that were factory installed on this one. Just go to Sonic's website and do a virtual design spec on one similar to this one and see what I mean. This boat is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warrantees offered or expressed.Everything listed is to the best of my knowledge. This boat is also locally for sale so if necessary I reserve the right to end this auction early.
