Basically the entire interior was replaced including new wood. All teak decks were replaced. Engines, generators, pumps, and electrical were removed and replaced. Exterior hull was sand blasted to bare metal and completely re-faired. All rails were removed, all deck fittings removed and re-chromed, all tanks were sand blasted and recoated, new air conditioning chillers were installed. The refit was completed in 1994. Late in 1999 the superstructure was Awlgripped a glistening white and all imperfections were re-glazed. Her exhaust system was converted to an underwater system eliminating sooting problems on the upper deck from the stack. The gen sets now have through the side exhausts. This fine yacht is a true offshore vessel, having several transatlantic crossings to her credit. Owners have cruised the Bahamas, Nantucket and through the canal to Queen Charlotte Island. At a 10 knot cruise her fuel consumption is 18 GPH including generator. Recent haul-out and yard work in March 2017. NOW, to answer your question of why this yacht is listed at less than half of it's value? Please read below... And yes, this is a fire sale. Divorce forces sale! There are no liens on this yacht, and the US DOCUMENTATION (title) is free and clear. Please note: Although the pictures are indicative of the current condition, this fine yacht is in need of a some restoration once again. Mainly, there is some hull plating which will need attention in the future. And other areas in the topside where she is bubbling with rust or corrosion under the paint. She is in fine condition for travel anywhere on her own bottom, but this fact should be recognized from the start. Currently, the captain and his wife live aboard, monitor all items, and maintain what's needed. This yacht would make a fine live-aboard in its current condition. The necessary systems needed for comfortable living are working fine. Exclusions: Personal items, as captain and wife live aboard. Some items in pictures are no longer with the yacht. Everything you see at a viewing with the exception of personal tools and other items, are included.
