Some wood needs re-varnishing: in the engine room; where floors weren't protected by carpet and in back transom area a varnish layer peeling. The mate and captain's chair needs to be recovered. The trailer needs a wheel bearing. See photos. Some wood needs to be replaced in cockpit. The transom needs some epoxy for a repair. Boat needs a good cleaning. Engine needs to be started.

1961 22' CORONET EXPLORER RUNABOUT. WOODEN HULL COVERED WITH FIBERGLASS. COLLECTIBLE. FOR RESTORATION. HAS BEEN STORED, COVERED FOR MANY YEARS. ALL ORIGINAL. A NICE FAMILY PROJECT.THIS BOAT RODE THE HUDSON WITH HER FAMILY FOR MANY YEARS IN THE SUMMER, AND EVEN WENT AS FAR AS MONTREAL. SHE WAS ALWAYS VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND RELIABLE. NOW SHE IS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO RESTORE AND CARE FOR HER.SHE CAN TRAVEL AT 12 KNOTS AND HER 80HP ENGINE IS FRESH WATER COOLED.SHE HAS A NEW CANVAS BIMINI TOP AND ANOTHER PIECE THAT ATTACHES TO THE BIMINI AND BACK TRANSOM; ORIGINAL HORSEHAIR CUSHIONS IN PERFECT CONDITION, WHICH WERE STORED INDOORS; AND NICE RAILINGS. THE ORIGINAL TOOL BOX AND MANUALS ARE WITH HER. THERE IS A FOLDER WITH PARTS NUMBERS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS ABOUT REPAIR AND UPKEEP FOR THE BOAT. Hi ,
I'm interested in this boat. I would be more interested if the wheel bearing on the trailer was repaired, so the boat could be towed to Maryland. Is the trailer road worthy? do you have the title to boat and trailer? Does the motor turn?
How significant is the damage to the transom? Is this why the boat hasn't been used?
This is a rare boat, and I'm sure it has sentimental value to you, but are you motivated to sell and are willing to come down to a significant amount make a sale?
