Aqua-Jet

I have put up for sale this beautiful Vintage 1971 Aqua-Jet boat. THIS IS NOT A JET SKI. The boat is Extremely Rare. Chances are you have never seen another one for sale. I know you have never seen one for sale in this condition. And remember this is for the trailer as well. The boat was manufactured by Aquasonics Incorporated in Rochester New York. There where only a hand full of these boats produced When the Factory had a fire and burned. This was devastating for Aquasonics Inc. and thus halted all future productions of the Boat. The boat was engineered by Barry Tuttle Who at the time worked for NASA. The boat Was ahead of it's time with a Electric start 23 hp twin cylinder 2 cycle Curtiss Wright engine , Spicer drive shaft and a Berkley Jet drive. The 16 hp engine could produce speeds in excess of 35 mph with the 23 hp engine producing speeds in excess of 60 mph.As you can see by the news paper article in the photo this boat sold for 1295.00 in 1971, That was a lot of money 47 years ago. As you can see in the photo's this boat is in excellent condition and has no leaks . The gel coat on the boat has no crack's and is in excellent condition as well as the chrome and runs great. I have copies of the original blue printed patent's as you can see in the photo's. This boat has a lot of historical documentation. I also have the service manual on the engine. The Donaldson tuned exhaust is as new There is a new battery and all the wiring is in great condition. This is and Extremely Rare boat. No one has another one in this condition. The boat is registered in ny in my name as well as the trailer. The trailer has new tires, new wheel bearings and races as well as seals. New lights and wiring , and is also in very nice condition. There is a lot of things you could use this boat for as well. You could put the boat on your yacht to get to shore in shallow water as this boat only weigh's 175 lbs. You could race the boat as this boat is very fast for it's size. You could tow surfers out into the ocean as it has the power and speed to over come the waves with a low center force of gravity. You could use this boat in the movies as it is unique and unusual as well as sleek like in the James Bond movies.You could put the boat in a museum as the boat is very rare or take it to boat shows. I have had questions on the HP of the engine so I will post it here. The engine is a model KEC-340 Serial # 2900596 in turn the engine is 25hp at 5800 rpm and 23 ft lbs of torque at 5250 rpm
