Allison Craft 16 Foot Race Boat

1977 16 foot Allison craft racing boat. (Serial # ALL16003M77 1-1)This is an original racing hull 16R with used trailer, but no motor or hardware. Attached are several pictures, but wanted to address as many issues as I could, to explain its condition. Starting with the good parts, all original, structurally sound, original gel-cote, rub rail excellent, stringers seem solid, hull chines straight/ sharp and the transom seems to be solid. For the areas that will need work. Deck has several stress cracks, hull has a few on keel, a couple of through cracks on the nose of the deck, someone has applied fiberglass mat to the motor well, numerous holes in the transom/motor well, sections of the floor are rotten and an awkward aluminum transom extension has been bolted on the boat. Just want to be honest and up front.There is a faint outline of some old decals or hand painted lettering on the deck that reads:Ron Tom MarinaNO. Myrtle Beach, NCDriver: Walter HunterFor being 46 years old it is in pretty good shape. This would be an awesome race boat restoration project and perfect for an old V6 Merc. These are very rare and desirable old race boats and undoubtedly that fastest V bottoms in the world.I restore vintage GW Invader boats and have 40 years of experience, so I understand what it takes to make one right. The bottom line is that this boat has a lot of potential and because its an Allison, it will hold its value and justify the cost of restoration.
