1976 28’ Diesel Topaz Sportfish

Up for sale is my 28 Twin Diesel Topaz Sportfish. She runs great and has been a super fun and seaworthy boat / fishing platform for the last 7 years and hate to see her go but I would like to sell her and downsize to a trailerable boat.The boat is powered by the famed reliable and powerful twin Cummins 6bt 12 valve marine engines matched with counter rotating zf 220a gears/ transmissions. The engines were initially commercially de-rated down to 210hp and they only have about 2200 hours each. Anyone that knows these engines knows they should go about 10,000 hours plus between rebuilds and last a long time! The boat cruises at 20-22 knots through most seas and opened up she will do 26-30 knots. She has a 200 gallon epoxy coated fuel tank that was replaced by the last owner and she has great offshore range. She burns about 12-13 gph between both engines at cruise which equates out to roughly 1.5 nmpg which is great economy for a twin engine 12,000lb diesel boat!The boat has a ton of rod holders and outriggers, center rigger, furuno radar, Garmin GPS chart plotter, raymarine autopilot, vhf radio, large furuno fish finder with a deep sounding transducer. The guy that owned this prior to me fitted it out for offshore fishing and was a huge white Marlin fisherman. I never fished it offshore just fished/ used it inshore for stripers, bottom fishing etc.The cockpit area is bigger than some 34 boats with tons of fishing room! The cabin / berth is a bit rough and not finished out but sleeps 2 comfortably and has plenty of storage. Since I bought the boat I installed a nice full size toilet/ head with built in macerator pump etc.Boat is currently in the water with fresh bottom paint and zincs and is in its slip and ready to go!
