Monterey 179 SCR

You are bidding on one used 1992 Mionterey 179 SCR bowrider boat with a 3.0 liter 4 cyl. Mercruiser engine and Alpha One outdrive. I bought this boat in PA in 2011. The previous owner used it on a lake for waterskiing. This has been a great, reliable boat over the last 4 years, but I just found that the 4th cylinder has only 75 lbs. of compression and the spark plug shows rust so I know that there is water getting into the cylinder. This may be a cracked cylinder head or a broken piston ring. My plan was to patch the holes and not replace the trim on the cover.Full dark green mooring cover for front and back comes with the boat.The galvanized trailer is in good shape and ready to drive anywhere.
