1966 Californian 28 Express CruiserI hauled this boat back to Oregon from Utah several years back with lots of big dreams of keeping it moored downtown Portland. It has 6 new wheels and tires on the trailer, they have exactly 800 miles on them and are still like new.Twin 327 Chevrolet engines rated at 250 horsepower eachOnan generator under the floorTwin 70 gallon fuel tanksCentral vac systemFresh water, grey water, and black water tanksBoat hasn't been in the water since the early 90'sI purchased it from the original owners that ordered new from C&M manufacturing in California. This is a heavy boat with lots of hand laid glass, It's all of 12,000 pounds on that trailer. It was set up with (4) 6 volt batterys that I removed, I have pictures of the way it was wired previously. I haven't ever ran either of the motors, but there's no reason they wouldn't run well with very little work, they are the simplest motor to work on and with the floor panels removed you can easily access both sides of both engines. the hour meters read 485 on the port side and 515 on the starboard side. I believe that to be accurate as I don't think anything on this boat isn't just the way it came from the factory. All the levers and linkages move free and smoothly, this boat has never been neglected when it came to maintenance. It was always kept covered and indoors when not being used. I have a full storage cover for it also. I fell in love when I went in the cabin and it was like a time capsule, all the wood was nice, there is a custom made mattress to cover the front cushions that fits perfect in the bow. Then I opened the hatches to the powerplants and was amazed at how nice the stringers and everything was kept all those years, clean, not a giant greasy mess, very well kept, it showed pride of ownership for sure. This isn't a Bayliner, it's a yacht and the build quality shows. This boat is awesome, and is sitting out in front of my office with a for sale sign. When people call I tell them I will take $9500. Anyone that knows what this boat is and how it is built will understand that it's a steal. I'm going to start the auction at $5000 and see what happens. It is for sale locally or if you'd like to "buy it now" or make and offer.... have at it! I've got too much stuff and everything needs to go.NOTICE - I also have a 8' Livingston that I bought specifically to go with this boat, it has defender stainless davit quick mounts already on it.If you want pictures of anything else just ask.I'm only selling it because I have so many cars, boats, tractors, and toys.... time to sell them all and start over.NO RESERVE!!
