Boat, Wood, Custom Built Ceder

Introducing the Selah, a custom designed and home built flat bottom fishing dory. This vessel was originaly designed as a shallow water tour charter boat and show boat. The custom wood hull frame is all ceder with marine grade plywood plating. The exterior of the hull from the waterline down is also reinforced with fiberglass. This construction allows this boat to barely tip the scales around 2,000lbs including the engine. The engine is a Yamaha 70hp 4-stroke with around 100hrs of total time. It has been properly maintained, including yearly oil changes even in storage. As configured, the vessel will make about 18mph on soft water at 2300rpm, and will plane with a light load at 1500rpm. The inset outboard engine makes this vessel handle well in tight spots for it's size and it answers well at the helm while underway. The Selah was never used for a charter as intended but has been a popular addition to many boat shows over the years. It originally had a custom built hard-top cover but this was replaced with a lightwieght bimini top in 2022. The current owner started repairs for damage to the windshield frame from a faling tree limb and to conduct normal wood-boat maintancence (touching up epoxy and paint) but was injured in an accident and cannot physically work on it any longer. This vessel requires covered storage, needs some epoxy work completed, and some minor carpentry work. The vessel is surveyed and has a Hull ID number. It is currently registered in the state of Georgia. The vessel has a full coverage insurance policy for a replacement value of $30,000 (Appraised Hull Replacement Value). This policy has been in effect for the vessel since it was completed and may be transferable.The boat trailer is also custom built and needs some minor maintanence and touch up. The tires currently hold air and have decent tread, but are aged.
