1954-56? Larson/Crestliner 14 runabout with vintage 18Hp outboard Evinrude motor and period trailer.
A wonderfully preserved mid 50s aluminum speed boat with wood trim. I believe this boat is all original with its 1955-58 Evinrude 18 hp. outboard & gas tank, windshield, Attwood steering wheel, running lights, ores and wood seats. Built by Larson Watercraft, Inc. of Little Falls Minn.
To the best of my research this is a 1954-56 Larson Crestliner, model- Commodore/Commander 14 Speedster with deck and wood trim. I believe it is a rare combination of options as I cant find a photo of this setup on the internet, but the options are listed in Larsons catalog price list of the time. The boat would have been a deluxe loaded model of its time. This is a true piece of American boating history.
The boat is in good shape; it has absolutely no leaks, transom is very solid and is a blast to runabout on the lake or river. The boat comes with good running vintage 18hp Evinrude Fast twin motor (1955-58?), throttle and steering cables are all working fine even has the original working Evinrude gas tank! It really moves and handles well in the water. It even has buoyancy tanks so it cant sink.
Period Sportsman trailer is included also. Trailer lights work and it is in overall good shape, pulls great down the road. The bearings are good with axle buddies and it also has a spare rim and tire. This is a nice package of boat, motor and trailer for someone wanting a retro/vintage boat for weekend fun. Heck, do a repaint and polish and take it to historic boat shows too. This boat draws lots of attention, thumbs up and smiles. There are lots of clubs and shows for vintage boating and outboard engines.
The only reason I am selling this historic gem is because we are moving next year and I will lose my five stalls of garages. Sad to let her go, but hopefully a vintage boat collector or boat museum will see this for what it is and jump at it and take good care of this classic Larson. I am offering her at a low reserve, so someone is going to get a great classic boat at a real good deal. I hope its you. Thanks for looking and happy & safe boating.
