Hello !
My name is Niklas Stenmark (57) and I have always followed the Offshore cirquits in Europe.
I also followed the US cirquit and the CUV "dirty Laundry" was always a favorite.
( I have wondered what happend to it )
- I'm a huge fan of the Italian designed boats especially the CUV-cats and monohulls witch a think is, by far, the coolest on the water.
After meeting the Abbate-brothers and followed the "Ganchia de Ganchia" I was hooked.
I bought a smaller custom Tullio Abbate (2xBMW) from Tullio-boat that I have been taking care of
(like a baby)for 26 years.
I also bought the Offshore 2 World Champion Catamaran 1993 from Michael Frode´ (3 x 300 xs ).

This Dirty Laundry, CUV-Cat looks FANTASTIC.
Still in fantastic condition !
The bot is unfortionally a little bit "over my head", but maby I could ask a couple of questions anyway.
- I'm thinking this boat could be a really interesting "Show/ Event-Boat" in an untouched ORIGINAL design CONDITION.
QUESTIONS :
- Does the engines still work/ in good shape ?
- Is it possible to "silence" these extreme race machines ? (Swedish inviroment regulations)
- What woluld the gas-consumtion be at 1. Full throttle 2. Cruising speed 65-80 knots/(aprox 80 miles)
- What was the Top Speed (rougly) when the boat was new ?
-
I have now put the Dirty Laundry as my "screensaver" at my computer, and will continue dreaming about it !
Best Regards!
Niklas S
