I had 279SC, same engine. Did you rebuild upper and lower outdrive unit of the Bravo One? Mine was replaced under warranty due to problems with the cone clutch unit. Mercruiser was replacing the entire unit even outside of warranty! Are you the original owner? Do you have all maintenance records such as how many times the water pump impeller has been replaced?
