hello, I am interested in a wooden boat and have a few questions if its not too much trouble. You have probably responded to many inquiries and I hate to trouble you further but I am ,lacking specific knowledge related to the fiberglassing of the bottom for those boats. Of course, the "true believers" if you will, think the earth is going to implode if I were to fiberglass the bottom. I understand the difference between the coefficient for expansion and contraction of dissimilar materials but I can't seem to find the actual results for someone who is using the boat; I assume the fiberglass blends into wood and is nonexistent except for a clear laminating layer. Is it mixed so that it does not crack or are the cracks expected and widespread? Any special instructions for maintaining. What are your maintenance schedules and what do they consist of. Any active leaks in the hull of the boat? Who performs the work on the boat and will it be possible for me to contact them? How often is boat removed from the water and what condition is the bottom in.
