I just want to say how awesome it is reading about somebody else completely redoing a starcraft boat...Im in Ohio, and 3 years ago I bought a 2010ss for $1,000. its red & white and little did I know was going to be a complete overhaul....it started with a locked up 4.3 that was from a late 80's blazer that some mechanic just stuck in there to fool the older couple who owned it before me. 3 soft spots in the floor later I realized she need redone...so by the grace of god I had a merc 5.0 given to me, and had to tear my boat completely apart down to the bare shell and start completely over....after 157 trips to lowes, more orders from amazon than I can count, tons of bud light, sweat..youtube, tons of emotion...mine has been completely converted inside to white on turquoise and seascape blue.....ocean blue carpeting, with captains chairs, custom made bench seat with a 3 section sundeck, kicker audio 6.5's with full blue and ice blue led lighting and completely revised open bow kenny chesney style....with my 23 pitch prop I believe Im running about 60...next is a built 335 stroker with coated bearings and low tension piston rings, roller lifters and rockers and ported vortec heads with msd ignition....THEN is a paint conversion just like yours, red to metaillic ocean blue which I have to have a friend help me with because Ive never painted a day in my life.....but all in all she's my baby, and your story is literally inspiration for me to keep going maybe even to a swim platform.....thank you for your story....
