My father sold these boats from about 1956 and the maker name is Beuler (spelling?) We had a movie of one of the boats running the Colorado River back then as a promotional aide to dealers. It was a larger model than the runabout maybe 20' and it went both ways on the river. At the end they said that the turbine was more effective than it started. They believed the silt in the water polished it. I was in my teens and learned how to run it well including spinning it by putting it in reverse as the boat was going ahead full speed which was estimated to be 40 MPH. The only drawback was that water skiers complained that the spray from the turbines stung their legs. If you have any questions love to email with you.
