My father bought one of these boats in the early 1950's. He had a 2 -1/2 hp Johnson motor on it and later put a 1953 5 hp Johnson which we used for years. I the early 1960 he had the boat fiberglassed to add strength and stability. Sometime later on he sold it and we got a runabout. I will cherish all the memories of fishing with my father in that little boat. Truly a classic!
