I am watching this on EBay. My only concern is the belt breaking. If any of the belt driven components froze, or if the engine froze, it would cause the belt to break. Did you try to turn the engine over to make sure it was not frozen? I don't mind replacing any of the other belt driven components but a bad, frozen motor is a big ticket item.
Also, it's an inboard/outboard with Mercruiser out drives?
