This Minnesota Viking Boat was built by Lonnie Warwick. This boat has a long history, most of its story is backed up in a large three ring binder I keep up for the folks that would buy the boat. It appears the NFL/boat portion of the boats story was in Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee. About a year ago I was asked if I would be interested in purchasing the boat. After seeing the signed images on its outside, the boats good condition, and its history, I chose to recondition it. Money was not the issue, I thought there is a Viking fan that would love to have this boat and its history! I have kept the Warwick family informed on the restoration. During the restoration, I had about 10 local people come look at the boat, some of these folks were taught by Lonnie in college. On one trip to test the drive, we were approached by a guy that had some tales about Lonnie and others. There is a ton of history in this boat. The boat is a Chris Craft 23 Scorpion 232 with a Mercrusier LX Chevy 260 HP Motor with an alpha one gen 1 stern drive. The stern drive is new, it has one hour on it, we are continuing to break it in for the next three hours. There is a potable water system with a new pump and two sinks. Its tank is 10 gallon. There is a porta potty, it has outside connections, it is spotless, I dont think it ever been used. We installed a forced air heater and ran its outlets into the enclosed area and two 4 hoses to the transoms back seat to keep the ladys warm. It also has an electrical Bennett trim system. The boat has 380 hours and the motor has less than 175 hours. There is a galley with a running sink and alcohol cooking eye, also has two 110volt outlets for microwave stove or whatever. The 110 volt system is usable if its power cord is plugged into the marina outlet. The fridge operates on 110 volt or 12 volts. The electrical system is 12 volt operated by two marine batterys, both of them have operated for six months no drop in storage. Installed with the batterys is a 110 volt powered twin 12 v battery charger. The electrical wiring harness carries four fuse panels. The new stereo system is a KMMX705, four Punch PI 650 speakers, and Rockford Fosgate Amp T4Uox48p, total cost at $1000.00. Its wiring harness was run separate from the other harness. The air system has two powered fresh air units to keep the enclosed portion of the boat cool. Also has a bathroom powered air blower. The two electrical panels are in use over the galley, one is 110 volt and the other panel is 12 volts. There are spares in each of the fuse panels. There is an off shore transmitting radio system with large antenna. We had Gator Step install one of the floors like you see in the new Mastercrafts. It looks just like teak, very nice. Up front is an anchor storage area, it has the anchors, many ropes and the entire cover that fits over the whole boat. There are two bumpers and ropes in the closets behind the galley for tying off the boat. There is a nice place for the kids to play under the captain's.chair.Regarding the motor and drive, a new Mercruser thermostat was installed, has new alternator, took exhaust necks off and checked for trash. We installed all new bellows in the stern drive. also replaced the switches in the drive with Mercruser parts. We installed all of the gauges with new Autometer units and a $500.00 GPS speedometer. I installed 13 big cup holders. Oil and fuel filters are new. Fuel tank is 70 gallon. We installed a new Autometer fuel level system. We installed a new fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide alarm. We installed a new automatic bilge pump.We have spare mechanical and electrical parts, including both upper and lower stern drive and other parts. We have spare gray gel coat used in the motor area and anchor storage, also the tan paint used to repaint the rear upholstery, and two small cans of yellow and purple for touch up. We have extra decals for the instrument panel, just in case. The trailer has new tires, new paint, new bottom rollers, new bow roller, side guides, and lights with wiring harness. It is equipped with Titan Surg-0-matic surge brake system. The art work on the outside of the boat is a very nice wrap, it has some tears and scratches, but I put some in the pictures. There is no gel coat damage. There are small 1 x 1 and less areas where they have repaired the gel coat. The gel coat is a light tan, its finish is satin. If you want to see the boat, the closest airport is KTYS, Knoxville, TN or Monroe County KMNV. The boat can be driven if you want. The boat is presently in dry storage. There are several local people qualified to haul this boat if you need. Thanks, Quicksilverii.
