This is a No Reserve will Sell it auction for my prized Sportsman. I'm into other projects now and it doesn't look like I will get to this boat. This is an early model(1946-48) original white sided, cedar planked hull, with mahogany deck & transom, blonde finished fir covering boards. They were built this way right after the war due to a shortage of mahogany...sound familiar? Hull card is dated 1/27/48. I have clear CA title and current registration through 2015. The hull appears to be totally original and unmolested except the transom planks (at least the bottom one) has been replaced as there is no exhaust hole. All the bright work hardware is there including the windshield frames. The original engine to the boat is still there and complete, serial number (1327 S) matches hull card! It is a Chrysler M27 6 cyl, appears to be in great shape from the outside, no visible cracks or salt water damage, internal condition unknown. I don't have a trailer that fits this boat but I can deliver on flatbed 100 miles (within the greater Bay Area) for the price of gas if you have the ability to offload at your place. Otherwise I can load the boat on your trailer here or arrange to have a trailer made for you locally. This is a big project but totally worthwhile! If you have seen a properly restored U-22 at a boat show then you know how beautiful they are in the water and roomy enough for a cocktail party (tied dockside I would hope.) Please call or e-mail with questions: phone This auction will run until the end and sell to the highest bidder, so bid with confidence.
