I restored this boat in 2002. I worked in the wood boat restoration for three years, and and have worked on some award winning boats. All new wood except for one hull plank and ceiling boards. Hull frames, chines and keel original. New West Systems bottom. Deck has plywood underlay as does the transom. I never striped the deck seams as I liked the look of it unpainted. Hardware was rechromed. Motor and upholstery was done by professional shops in my area. (Engine work by John Matzen and upholstery by Rod Souza). I am very pleased with both. New battery installed. The ignition is electronic, no points. Great running boat. It has a few nicks but for the most part in excelent condition. Stored indoors. All gauges work. The boat has the original K that it came with. I have the three brass tags (engine, hull and prop). They are not attached. I have the Mariners Museum packet. The boat left the factory September 1941 and was delivered to San Francisco. I believe was used at Clear Lake, California before I got it.That is where I also used it. It is located in Sebastopol, Ca. at this time, one hour north of San Francisco.
The varnish has not been redone since the 13 coats applied when it was restored. It still looks nice but a fresh coat or two would really make it shine. I tried to keep it as correct as possible. It has a water separator/filter and the original gas tank. It gives me no problems. The trailer is a 1959 American included with the boat. Boat and trailer are currently registered but I never put the stickers on the boat.I have a brass"Vessel of Historical Interest"plaque #00143, which is issued by he State of California. This willgo with the boat, along with fenders, dock lines, fire extinguisher, and what ever else I come across that belongs to the boat. This is a relist as reserve was not met. Here is some dimensions for those interested in shipping overseas.
The beam is 5' 7" or 67". Width of trailer at fenders is 7" 8" trie sidewall sticks out another 3/4" on each side.
Total trailer lenght is 19' 6" aprox.
