This boat belonged to a client of mine previously. About 5 years ago, I did just over $20,000 of work to it for that client. I now have clean Florida title to the boat in my name.It is a 2005 Chris Craft Launch. It has a Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI engine with a newer (replaced in late 2013) Bravo 3 outdrive. THE TRAILER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION, BUT FOR $4500 ABOVE WHATEVER THE BOAT BRINGS, I WILL SELL IT TOO. IT IS OVER 2 YEARS OLD, I BOUGHT IT NEW FOR OUR FAMILY BOAT, which is also 25', and would need to buy a new trailer to replace it. The price I got for the same model trailer brand new was $5900 after the extra options mine has, spare tire, bracket, bearing buddies, etc. About a year ago I had it serviced by the selling company. The boat was left on a lift and filled with rainwater up to the alternator, meaning that everything below that was below fresh water for a period of time. How long I don't know. That equipment includes the starter, part of the alternator, the batteries, charge, trim tab pump, power steering pump, everything that was below about the mid mark on the alternator. The engine room encompassed most of the water, but the compartments below deck level were full as well. Fresh water got inside the engine, apparently thru the oil dipstick. I acquired the boat on June 21, 2019, just over 30 days ago. The very first thing I did after pumping the boat dry and towing it home, was start a deep cleaning of the entire boat, opening all hatches and allowing the boat to dry out after the initial cleaning. I put a ratchet on the crank bolt and verified the engine was not at all locked/turned over freely. Since that point, a good deal of cleaning has been done, and the boat is very clean as of this morning July 25, 2019, when the pictures posted were taken. As far as mechanical work goes, I pumped all engine oil out. There was approximately 1 gallon of freshwater that came out first. I filled the engine with new oil and changed the filter. I replaced both batteries, as well as the battery switch. I replaced the outdrive pump and up/down relays. I ran the engine on the flusher and verified it started up quickly. I allowed it to run on the hose for about 30 minutes. I changed the oil and filter again, this time pulling the drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan to get all the oil out. I ran the engine another 40 minutes and checked the oil, which appeared to not have any evidence of water in it.On Saturday July 20, 2019, I replaced a piece of chain on the fortress anchor, changed the mercruiser fuel filter, replaced the oil dipstick (rubber knob broke off) and took the boat for an approximately 3 mile seatrial. 2 miles of the seatrial were at idle/no wake speeds (1 mile to, 1 mile from where I could go fast), and approximately 1 mile was at planing speeds. The engine ran very good, especially since I estimate the fuel to be at least 2 years old. It appeared to have a little break up, which felt ignition related at higher rpms, but other than that it responded very well. The Corsa quiet/direct exhaust system worked well on the seatrial. I flushed the engine on the hose after putting it back on the trailer and rechecked the oil. I have 2 very short videos reflecting both of those events but wasn't able to load them onto classifieds board. The main DC breaker was bad, so I jumped it for testing purposes. The starter and alternator, despite being submerged were working as of the seatrial. The blower was still working. The battery charger is not working. One of the 2 electric engine hatch lift motors is working, the other appears not to be. The trim tab pump is not working and the fluid has fresh water in it. Bennett makes an electric conversion kit if so desired, to eliminate the pump for about the same price. The outdrive tilt pump that I replaced has new fluid, but still needs to be flushed as there is still evidence of water. The power steering fluid has been changed, but needs further flushing as it still has water in it. The bilge pump and float switch, which I changed about 5 years ago, are still working good. The freshwater shower pump was submerged, and is not working. The battery isolator appears to still be working, but was submerged. I did not test the onboard toilet. At a minimum, the engine would most likely require new plugs, wires, cap and rotor.I would recommend pumping the fuel tank dry/starting over, just due to the age of the fuel. The boat has a plastic fuel tank, which I believe to be 80 gallons. Access to the fuel sender is easy, the fuel gauge was working on the seatrial and showed that the tank was half full. All the gauges with the exception of the tachometer and speedometer were working on the seatrial. The Speedometer appears to be the pick up tube type. The digital depth gauge was not working. The horn does not work.I didn't test the navigation lights, the anchor light pole is missing. The stereo is not functioning. The boat has covers as shown in the pictures. The bimini top is in good working order, just missing a clip, it stores under the engine hatch. The anchor, lines, fenders, and life preservers shown are included in the sale. Before the freshwater flood/lift event, between 7/25/13 and 9/25/13, the following work was done by me for the previous owner:New bilge pump and float switchNew belt, idler, tensioner pulley, alternator, raw water pump, starter, fuel module, trim pump assembly, thermostat, port and stbd. trim cylinders (for the outdrive), zinc kit, bellows/gimbal bearing, tilt sender, trim hoses, prop nuts, BRAND NEW BRAVO 3 OUTDRIVE ASSEMBLY, shift cable kit, spark plugs, bilge blower, batteries, battery trays, ignition coil, circulation pump, exh tube/bellows, cap and rotor, crank pulley, exhaust manifolds and risers, plug wires, corsa electric exhaust diverters, ALL THESE PARTS WERE MERCRUISER NEW PARTSI cannot give any guarantees to the work that will be required to get this boat in proper running condition, but have tried to accurately represent everything I have seen since acquiring it. Initially, I was going to fix everything and use it to explore some of the local freshwater spots with the family. I have come to the realization I don't have the time to do so with all the work I have thru my business. I could not find any hour meter on the boat, but would guess it has low hours. The previous client barely used it at all.I will take cash in hand only for the boat. If you wish to ship/transport the boat somewhere, you will need to arrange an agent to meet me with the cash and take care of that for you. As the boat is currently on my trailer, I will work locally with whoever necessary to get the boat to the new owner, but only after I receive cash in hand. Chris Craft makes a very nice boat, and this could be a great boat for someone, but it will require a good amount of work to get there.
