1961 Chris Craft 50' Constellation, New Pics. This boat has moved under its own power down river for haul out. We have proven that this boat is quite sea-worthy, economical, has a tight bottom, and is strong enough structurally to be hauled out, dry stored, and launched again. Can also be moved by auto transport. We are selling from Colonial Beach, VA but boat is not stored at this marina. It has been operated under its own power down river to a haul out location. She is currently on the hard and has been completely winterized for the season. The bottom and running gear has also been cleaned and inspected including all thru hulls.Vessel recently performed a Sea Trial/Move. It ran for over 60 miles, 8 hours straight with no hiccups. Both engines maintained 2500+ RPMs and burned less than 10 Gal per engine. Cruising speed was 10+ knots. The bilge only kicked on once or twice but no water came in the hull during the trip. The bottom of this boat is very tight. Most electronics are functioning, Radar, Depth, Gauges, Horn, VHF. All controls work like the day they were installed, no hesitation in shifting or throttle, Helm is very smooth and responsive. Was used as a Full-time Liveaboard, it was floating and operable. This Antique, Classic wood "Connie" hastopsidedamage from rain water intrusion. This boat is a project boat for the right person. Engines run great, have low hours, port engine has been replaced about 6 years ago and boat is in operable condition. Recent survey found she needs to be hauled, repaired and painted. Estimates on repairs vary depending on how far you want to take it and whether or not you have it done professionally and is mostly labor. Recent safety inspection completed. Vessel has been shrink wrapped and winterized every year. The seller is being forced to sell by the marina where he has a slip since they are no longer allowing wooden boats.Boat is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS in Colonial Beach, VA 22443. Owner has already moved vessel to a boatyard that can haul/launch this boat for you and allow you to work on your boat in their yard making this a great Do-it Yourself project.General Description:LOA: 50'BEAM: 14.1'DRAFT: 3.5'ENGINES: 2, Hardin 454 cu inCOMBINED HP: 640 HPFUEL: GASTANKS: 2TYPE: ALUMINUMCAPACITY: 205 GALLONS EACHAREA: AFT Cockpit, Galley, forward and aft StateroomHEAD: 1Disclaimer: Gladys Marine, Inc. offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel.
