The Constellation was generally considered to be the top of the line
mahogany cruiser offered by Chris-Craft from it's inaugural year,1955,
through 1972, the year the last mahogany cruiser was delivered. The
Constellations were constructed using mahogany planks over oak frames,
and they were fitted for comfort and elegance. There were very few
accessories offered since every imaginable accessory was already
included on these marvelous yachts.
The Promises is a Salon Model featuring double staterooms (Forward and
aft) and a very spacious salon equipped with a modern, though Classic,
amidship galley. Each stateroom has a insuite head, the forward head has
access from the salon, and the aft head is equipped with a full shower.
The Salon models were advertised as sleeping 6, but can easily
accommodate 8 people. and a max of 44 people allowed on board! That would be a Great cocktail party! The aft cabin is located below the command bridge.
A very comfortable aft deck is also an outstanding feature of this
immaculate cruiser. This 1963 Chris Craft 42' Constellation (45' Total)
is in excellent condition, There were only 50 of these ever
produced...This is #15 and I have only been able to find 3 others! This
exact Model was on the Popular "The Fugitive" SHe was considered a Class
Act
