The very first year of the Constellation line and, the best! She has been a pleasure and a home to me for a few years. Unfortunately, I have moved on and, so should she. The Detroits have appox 2500 hours on them and I just did the racks. The fresh water system (for the shower, the galley, etc..) needs a new pump and the water heater (20 gal electric) needs a new element. The generator works perfectly! All the wiring was replaced3 years ago professionally. Of the 32 53 footvessels made in 1955 there are maybe 4 left. this one does need some work but look, where are you going to find this level of old school luxury for this kind of money? Her bottom was fully refastened with bronze before I got her, she is solid. Bilge pumps run maybe every 10 to 12 days. I would not hesitate to take her out right now. I know there are many questions and I don't mind answering most of them. I do want to be clear, I AM NOT A BANK. DO NOT ASK FOR "TERMS" I want cash or cashiers check only. If she is your boat, then just paythe price. This last winter was really hard on her topside. I am currently working on the pulpit and anchor windlass. The carpets in the main salon got stainedand need replacing. She is a great boat with plenty of warmth and she really turns heads when you pull into a small harbor for the night or for fuel. She is blessed with 3 staterooms, 2 guest and one main. The main stateroom features a King sizebed. There are 2 heads, the Main head has a fully tiled stand-up shower.
