Chris Craft Commander

For Sale is my 1967 38' Chris Craft Commander. If you know nothing about early glass Commanders, do a search for Chris Craft Commanders and discover what a gem is for sale. She is powered by a pair of 1994 Crusader XL 454 gas engines with, I believe, very low hours. Also, put in at the same time as engines, a pair of Series 5000 Velvet Drive Transmissions (Ratio:2.455:1) with 6" flex coupling to drive shaft to inhibit electrolysis and protect the transmission. She has 1-3/8" S.S. shafts and pushing a pair of 22" x 24 pitch bronze props. Numerous new and up-graded systems have been installed. She has upper and lower helms with the following systems installed:

Auto bilge pump system, lower cabin built in raw water A/C system, raw water wash down system, 75 gal. fresh water system w/ 110V hot water heater, Lectra/san disposal system attached to a Groco EB toilet,three burner cooktop w/ built-in oven, extra large under counter refrigerator, more than ample storage cabinets, newly up-graded electrical system w/ breaker panel and Xantrex Freedom Marine 30 inverter/charger system, Garmin GPSMAP 400/500 chart plotter w/ fuel sender interface for monitoring fuel while underway, wall mounted TV,built in stereo system w/ upper and lower speakers, VHF radio, Horizon DS30 depth sounder at both helm locations, Scentry gas vapor detectors, Groco raw water strainers, etc.

There is a new bow pulpit with a Goode windlass that doesn't work all the time. New anchor and anchor line, more than sufficient dock lines. The vessel has been well maintained thru its life. The exterior could use a good waxing this spring to bring out ashine. The hull is the one that started the saying "She's bullet proof",meaning it had been over engineered and very thick and coat of gel coat. She was engineered with a planning hull that is revered to this day, she'll get up and go. The interior is in very good condition with small signs of wear, but most is new. She is currently in the water near Baltimore Maryland. The slip rent is paid till April 1st and she may remain there till that time. She can be motored away or hauled (marina has lift). If you do a search for Chris Craft Commanders for sale, you will not find many, but the ones you do find are asking a bit more. I am pricing to sell before April 1. She is a turn key venture and the reserve is low, bid confidently.
