Checkmate Exciter

Checkmate Exciter 18'6" rare original paint and gelcoat . The boat had a 200 HP on it and did 82 MPH , now it has a OMC 140 HP looper rebuilt in 2010 by a Alexander Bay Marina , less then 5 years on engine in fresh water , stamped on block day/date/year and serial number , was told the cost was 3,600 from the mechanic . Tilt and trim where also rebuilt and work fine . The paint and gelcoat are in great shape for a 30 year old boat , no major scarring or large scraps .The Black striping does show fading but could easily be restriped with vinyl of paint . The floors are solid with no rot , the carpet is good and interior was replaced 6 years ago and has no holes . The carpet in the cockpit was replaced with checkerboard vinyl tile for waterproofing and looks , easily can be replaced with new marine carpet if desired . You will not find another Exciter in better condition and the colors of white , burnt orange metal flake and black stripping is timeless .The trailer is galvanized and has bearing buddies and the lights work , however I don't have papers for it . The boat has a NYS Title free and clear .I am willing to entertain separating the boat/trailer from the engine , but would rather sell it as a package , I realize lots of performance boaters want a 200 to 225 engine for mid 80's . Low starting price of 2,000.00 and book value with rebuilt engine is close to 6,000 , sell for 1,000s less !Ask any questions , consider trades for pontoon boat or family cabin cruiser ..will sell this week , for sale locally and reserve the right to end the bidding early !
