This is an '87 Carver 38 foot 3807 aft cabin boat, located
on Lake Texoma,
which is on the border of Oklahoma and Texas.
I am the second owner, and bought it in 1990. At that time it had about 100hrs on her, and now she has about 500hrs. A low hour boat. It has spent its entire life in a covered slip on this fresh water lake, and the condition shows it. Due to age, is the only reason I am selling her. The Carver was ordered by the dealer, and listed for $275K, then purchased on the lake, and is equipped with all of the options available. It has all the full weather enclosures, and the plastic is shown in the pictures, and it is as clear as new. It has the white covers for the windshield, but it not shown, since I had the windows tinted, the covers were not needed. This boat even has the built in bilge heaters, which are normally found on boats in the north. She has a forward and aft stateroom, with two complete heads, and a 6'6" head room thru out, which was one factor of interest for me. She is powered by twin 454 Crusaders 350HP motors, and a 7.5W Kohler Generator. The exhaust on Carvers are directed to the water line which makes the generator super quiet when at anchorage, compared to many others. She runs as good as she looks. She has twin 4 blade props and she spins on a dime when turning around. I have listed a Specification Sheet which will provide a lot of dimension and information.
The electrical is supplied by dual 50A-125v 3 wire shore cords, with the matching cable TV cord. Also the fresh water connection, for dock side hook up. It has an Apelco Radar (really not used on this lake), Hailer, and TV antenna. It has Dual helms, for driving from the bridge or the salon. On the rear deck it is equipped with a refrigerator, ice maker, and wet bar, as shown in the pictures. Also a Force 10 propane rail mount grill for the steaks and burgers, and swivel rocking chairs. You can swivel and prop you feet up on the rail and watch the beach, or turn and watch the view while under way to the next port.
In the engine room it has the drip less packing on the shafts, which makes for a dry odor free bilge. It has two batteries for each motor and one for the generator, normal life expectancy is about 3-4 years on batteries. This allows for plenty of supply during your overnight anchorage. All new batteries in 5-18. Did a new Bottom job, impellers on all 3 motors, and replaced bearings and zincs on shafts, so all underwater gear is in good shape on 9-18.
Another great item on the boat is, back in 2006 I needed to change one manifold on the port motor. Since I didn't want to keep going down under the hood, I change all of the major components, over $4K worth on parts, hoses, heat exchangers, impellers, water pump, manifolds, risers, elbows, a long list. With that, going from '87 to '06, and then replacing all of this, one will have many more years ahead before needing any replacements.
The pictures will show the boat on a hook, then in the slip with and without the weather enclosures. The enclosures are removed in the spring, and then put on in the fall for the winter. The inside shots will show the salon, galley, forward stateroom, forward head, then the rear stateroom and head. The aft deck shows the ice maker, AC/DC refrigerator ,wet bar, and the covered back deck, with the swivel/rocker chairs. See all of the information on her at, http:
The last 2 pictures (36-37) is the new bottom job completed in 9-7-18, also included new impellers on both engines and generator, as well as new shaft bearings on both shafts.
Normal statements - there is no warranty on this item. Shipping will be at the buyers expense, and I will be glad to assist in delivering it to the local shippers pick up location, if you are shipping it. Payment in full, needs to be in a cashier's check, and it won't be released until the funds have cleared. If you want to speed up the process, you can overnight the check.
Good luck on the bidding.
