This boat is a Carlson original, before its affiliation with Glastron. Although Glastron-Carlson merged in 1969, this Carlson does not have the Glastron logo. It has been stored indoors all of its life, and is in Mint condition. The only modification done was to the transom, which was just repainted. It is powered by a rebuilt 1977 Mercury 1500XS. I have a 65 Carlson Challenger that my Dad purchased new in 1965. It's in complete disrepair and I'm contemplating refurbishing it in honor of my Dad who is now 80 years old. I know it's completely financially foolish, I could have a comfortable boat for less. I was hoping you might be able to provide some advice? My Dad and I live live in California, the Boat currently is in North Carolina at my sisters home. She has asked if she can donate it to her boss who loves the boat.
