Titled by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a 1960 16'6" Boston Whaler center console skiff. This boat was lovingly enjoyed and cared for by its family who lived near several tidal rivers in Southeastern MA. Regrettably, their neighbor thought that he had put out the pile of leaves that he was burning and hours later the wind blew some embers onto his lawn and the grass burned into his neighbor's yard catching the trailer tire and one side of the hull on fire. Thankfully it was put out somewhat quickly by yet another neighbor and sits now as it did then. The owner had hoped to restore it when he had the funds, but it was too difficult for him to see it in its current state just sitting in his yard. I purchased the boat from him recently but have just changed jobs, so I won't have the time to get to it or my other whaler project that I will be listing shortly. The hull is fixable, and the liner received very minimal damage if you are looking for a liner, original console and original siderails instead of restoring the boat. The trailer has been refurbished and is fully roadworthy. If you know much about older whalers then you know that this hull could be worth in excess of $10,000 once restored and the console and rails are worth over a thousand dollars as is, if you can even find them. Either way, I hope that the boat, or at least parts of it and the trailer get a chance to make yet another family some fond memories. This is a true auction, no reserve, high bidder wins. There is no motor or controls included, just the helm. Please know what you are looking at and bid based on your ability to restore the boat or utilize the components. Title for the boat in-hand, trailer will need to be registered as homemade. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. Thank you
