Boston Whaler Sakonnet

Barn boat, Boston Whaler, 17 foot Sakonnet model. We think its a 1969 year. Original owner customized in Louisianan for open Gulf commercial fishing. Second owner (my uncle) replaced existing 90 hp engine with current Mercury 115 hp Power Trim engine. He moved to Northern Nevada in 1979, Its has not been in the water or used since then. It has been in the barn and under a tarp for the last 40 years. Here is the love your barn boat needs to my knowledge. Dry weather has been hard on majority of wood, but not planking walkways. Mahogany wood has warped and facial board come off center stand, windscreen screws detached and windows off and one is broken, fishing seats rotted, all wiring and control cables need replaced, fuel tank and line replaced. Here is the good news. The hull and top deck fiberglass is in great shape with only two dings visible on the bottom. All original wood furniture in tact, and can be used for a pattern to build new. Engine has very few hours on it and should be easy to restore to operation.
