Boston Whaler 1969 17 foot for sale by owner.

HULL

Originally bought this boat as a bare hull. Inside the boat, all the non-skid was ground down and deck was fared with epoxy faring compound. All screw holes were filled with epoxy and the entire inside was sprayed with Interlux 2000 barrier coat. Boat was then turned over and entire outside hull was sanded and also fared with epoxy faring compound. The outside hull was then sprayed with Interlux 2000 barrier coat. Following the spraying process, the entire hull inside and out was sanded to 220 grit and sprayed with Awl Grip paint in a light gray color similiar to Boston Whalers commercial color gray. The deck was sprayed with new non-skid. A new black rub rail was applied to finish the outside.

INSIDE

The seats were made with marine plywood that was covered in carbon fiber and trimmed in teak wood. All hardware is brand new polished stainless steel. Old hardware is available upon request. There is a brand new spun aluminum gas tank mounted underneath the forward seat. All running lights are new LED Boston Whaler brand lights. Brand new black rub rail finishes off the hull. All new wiring and switches. Front hatch is covered in carbon fiber with teak trim while tunnel covers are solid teak. All seats, hatches and covers are coated with 5 coats of Interlux varnish for UV protection.

ENGINE

Engine is a 1996 Mercury 75 horsepower in great running condition with tiller steering. It quickly jumps on plane and top speed with present prop is 41 miles per hour according to GPS.

TRAILER

Trailer is in good shape with new wheels and tires,wheel bearings replaced and new spare tire. All rollers have been replaced. The trailer comes without a title.

This is a beautiful looking one of a kind boat. I get complements from other Boston Whaler owners and I know its not the usual Boston Whaler restoration but you wont be disappointed with this boat. This is my third Boston Whaler restoration and think this is the coolest.
