24' Banana Boat "Team Banana" built in 1989.

I have owned this boat for about 5 years, it was purchasedfrom my latefriend, who was the owner of Banana Boat Ltd.This boat was a custom builtrace hull,by Banana Boat, for the racerMike Snow.Built specifically for racing, it was constructed with extra full bulkheads, transom knees, modified cockpit, fairing, etc. This boat is all cored, both the hull and the deck, and it was laid up with all bi-axial cloth, as opposed to mat & roving (making it much lighter). The stock boats only have core in the deck, and are more traditional mat & roving layup schedules.

Power is served by two, 2.5 mercury carbureted racing engines counter rotating. Unfortunately, the Port engine threw a rod, so it needs a new powerhead. The starboard engine was rebuilt in 2011, and it has very low hours.Long Kiekhaefer Racing trim tabs, with working hydraulic pumps.

Complete Lathem Marine steering system, new in 2011.The boat has a two man stand-up bolster seat, which is in decent shape.

The hull is in excellent physical condition with no soft spots or rot. cosmetically,Itis currently sanded down and prepped for a new paint job.I hada groupof painters start painting theboat, but work stopped, so the boat is about half way thru a paintjob.

Setup properly this boat Approaches 90 MPH, and was running high 80's before the portengine failed.I am including the original"Team Banana" Myco trailer with the sale, it is in transportable condition and can be prepared for a long journey. It does have some rust, but is stillfunctional.

The boat has a clear title in my name. The trailer has not been registered in years, and in the state of Florida weuse trailer registration as thetitle, so it will come with a bill of sale.

This boat is being sold as a easy project in as is condition. The only thingnecessary to be functional, is the repaired or replaced port engine. The only necessary cosmetic task, is the paint job, which should be simple as it's mostly prepared. Other than that, this boat is rock solid and complete.
