My dad bought this boat off the Navy. The boat has recently been totally rebuilt and was going to be shipped to Hawaii to be commissioned as a charter vessel for movie and exploration industries. It was one of my dad's ventures, see the other RIB boat for sale that is located in Hawaii now. This thing is a great work boat and has the dependable Cummins motor. My father owned the two rib boats and recently passed away. I make no warranties to the boat other than I know it was a great boat that is a work horse. He extensively rebuilt the boat and told me they were worth $50,000 when done.... I can't find support for that, but I am selling as is where is. For the right user this will be a GREAT DEAL!!TRAILER: Trailer condition is fair and included in sale, however trailer needs bearings if going long distance. Trailer has a flush kit, but wasn't used when pulled in and out of salt hence the need for bearings.ADDED INFORMATION 3-8-19700hours on ~2001 motor replacement by US NavryEverything been gone through. Turn key, just might need some soap and water and sooner or later sponson repair/replacement.- Yes excellent running shape- YES seaworthy and ready to go. Everything been replaced, hoses, gauges, filters, fuel injection pump removed and serviced by shop and retimed, entire conrad outdrive replaced w rebuilt unit at $3500 just for unit. New gecko like deck boat floor covering. Some minor blemish glass repairs. This boat utilizes reduction gear, not a gear in the outdrive, which is a testament that it is a work horse according to mechanic- The boat lives in a mechanics garage and doesn't move but to get work done and sea trial. It was being worked on to be shipped to Hawaii and put to work. Last item on the ticket was repair sponsons, but my uncle passed away.- New outdrive just a year ago.- This is a military grade vessel that is a 1987 that has been totally gone through. The hour count on the engine is 700hrs because the engine was replaced ~2001 by the Navy.- I do not know the brand of Sponson, but as you know with a glass bottom the sponson is more like a stablizer and for running/rubbing into items. There is a slow leak, but likely could be repaired. That was the last thing my uncle never got to before he passed. To be cautious please just figure you are going to replace them, but I don't think they need to be, but I've never driven the boat. The mechanic that has had it and worked on it and spent thousands and thousands of dollars on it said maybe you could repair it, that they sponson is practically for stabilization as the glass body it practically is it's entire floatation.- This is all the pics I have. The boat is about 1.5 hours from my house. It is in the shop and I've asked so much already of the wonderful mechanic gentleman that is storing it. The price that is reflected on the boat is about half or less what it is worth after how much money has been dumped into this stuff. I'm almost positive there is over $45k put into this including his purchase of the boat. If you want to show up and get a great deal come inspect it first. I'm not going to drive 1.5 hours to post more pictures when it is already on a fire sale.BTW, just found out that the T top is sitting in the yard and in fine shape, just doesn't have any canvas. The fiberglass body has access at multiple points of the boat for easy mounting of equipment, riggers, etc.Good luck in your bidding, this boat won't last.
