This is a modified 1984 zodiac FC470. For yearsI enjoyed a zodiac Futura MK2. Unfortunately that hull came from an era that Zodiac had glue issues and the hull eventually broke down. I hated givingup the boat so I went and found myself the industrial version of the same, being the navy seal FC470. Before setting up the FC, I rubber painted the bottom, put sealant in the chambers, red detail paint, and patched a spot or three. The hull holds solid air for a week or more before it softens a bit. The transom is reinforced with aluminum plating and custom made aluminum brackets that are attached to the flooring from the transom. This is a modification used when they do off shore racing on inflatable style boats.I did this on the previous boat and loved the way it handled the larger outboard.I transferred all the amenities from my previous boat the FC.

I hate selling this boat but circumstances in life are not allowing me to get out there and use it like I did before. I have only had it on the water once since setting it up last season. It still needs some fine-tuning.It holds air just fine and like any inflatable softens with the morning cold air and as soon as it warms up its back to full.It has 4 chambers on the main tubes and they are connected to the speed tubes with cut off clamps, and a separate center keel tube. The two valves on the starboard main tubes do not take air.Im guessing the oneway flap got stuck shut when I put the sealant in.Its just the outer screw on part of the valve so its an easy fix.I didnt bother with it as the other two can be used to fill the boat in the inflate setting and then turn them all to navigate. It did take on a little water while sitting overnight at the lake, but drains right out, once you head forward through the self-bailing drains.Im thinking its the drain flaps as I did put water in the boat while on the trailer and closed down the flaps and there was no other leakage. Not sure of the age of the motor, guessing late seventies, but it starts right up and runs strong and smooth. It also cavitates a bit at full throttle. The engine does have small cavitation plates on it as space allows, so I think the next solution would be to lower the mounting brackets on the outbaord. Its a bolt on style bracket to the transom, so the motor needs to be removed and then transom re-drilled to lower the brackets. The boat is a bundle of fun, pulling wake-boarders or skiers and bringing you into the shallows for fishing.I have only had it in a high mountain fresh water lake once and the motor was the same except for one saltwater excursion to Mexico. The trailer is galvanized steel with two newer tires and buddy bearing grease caps.Spare is only good enough to get you to a new tire.I have set a low reserve for what this boat could sell for.I live in a seasonable climate zone and really dont want to see the boat sit it out till next spring.Local pick up only and please connect with me on any questions you might have.
