Roamer is a 1930 commuter yacht of a bygone era - and resembles closely the 57' Ecco Flattop design. She was built is Baltimore, MD at the Ungar Mann shipyard for the owner. The finest materials were used - Honduras Mahogany, White Cedar, and White Oak. As a result of great woods, she still exists today, one of the few in original condition.Under present ownership, the boat has undergone a very large refit. The whole boat was stripped of paint and varnish and beautifully re-coated. The engine room was stripped of all old systems and repainted & the hull was rebuilt using the Kevlar Cutts method which was approved by the Coast Guard for passenger service. Two engines, Perkins Diesels, and two new fuel tanks and ready for installation. As well, the boat is ready for new plumbing and wiring.This is a great project with great potential. There might be three months of work remaining, and the owner is available if need be. Once finished, the boat should have a value of $250,000 due to its rarity.
