Wellcraft Excel 21SX

I've had this boat for 2 years, but my wife and I want to sell it and buy a pontoon. This is a 21' open bow boat with a V6 4.3L Volvo Penta. Seating for 8 comfortably. Runs excellent and gets great fuel economy! Plenty of pep to pull tubes or skiers with family on board. Rides solid in choppy water. Depth finder at stern. Dual batteries with switch installed. Bilge pump and blower in working order. Comes with galvanized trailer with almost new tires, LED lights, and surge brakes (the brake lines need to be flushed and filled with brake fluid, I haven't done so as my truck has no problem stopping it). Has bimini top, and comes with full trailering boat cover. Also has full cabin enclosure for cold weather boating ($1500 value!). My step-dad in Florida has the two snap-on tonneau covers (one was torn) right now to use as templates to make me two brand new ones. He already has the fabric (he's an upholsterer) in his shop, just needs to cut them and send them to me. These will be included in the sale as well. Two center chairs are the foldout kind that turn into lounge chairs. Rear section turns into sunning deck. My family of 5 fits very comfortably, we even take out my sister's family of 5 with us and still have a blast!Previous owner had owned it for over 10 years and passed along his service receipts. The outdrive was replaced the year before I purchased boat from him (could use repainting). Flooring was replaced about 5 years before my purchase. New throttle cable installed at time of my purchase.Negatives:Some of the stitching on the seats is separating, can reupholster or simply throw on seat covers (we just throw a towel down). There are the typical specks of black mold that seem to always show up in these older boats. The floor has one soft spot that is in the center of the boat on the port side of the storage hatch (shouldn't be too difficult to patch up). Hull has a couple chips (easily patched with kit). Speedometer does not work (easy fix with new speedometer tube, never bothered since I use GPS on iPhone to navigate which tells me speed as well).NADA lists it with all the features at $6,500 (Low Retail - present condition).I'm planning to begin the cleaning process on the interior and buffing the hull this week. It needs an oil change for the engine, and gear lube change for the outdrive. These are simple tasks that anyone who knows how to change the oil in a car can do. Planning to do them myself if it gets closer to boating season and I still own it. The more work I put into it, the less negotiable the price will become so act fast. Get an early start to the spring boating season by having a boat that is ready to go!
