Wellcraft

I found this gem at Centerhill Lake in Tennessee. It has been in a covered slip in this freshwater lake for most of it's life. Very Little used the twin Mercruiser engines are in pristine condition. The port engine hour meter reads 127 and the starboard is only 129.I had the boat transported to Nelson's Boatyard in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It is currently on the hard getting a new bottom job. The hull is in excellent shape and will look great after a polish and wax. It has a Bimini top and full canvas enclosure all stored up in the v-berth which will need updating. The top side upholstery is not cut or torn, but some of the side panels need work.I bought this boat as a fix-up project. It sleeps six with two in large v-berth, two in aft cabin under console and another full berth when the dining table is let down. It has galley, head with shower and Onan generator. Wellcrafts are known as strong long lasting luxury boats with excellent sea-keeping abilities. I have done many projects and this boat represents an excellent opportunity for someone to have a really nice express cruiser for an economical price. Unfortunately, at 65 years old my health will not let me continue.The hard part is done, transporting the boat to the Gulf was not easy or cheap. Engines and transmissions are running and in great shape. The generator needs a new exhaust elbow, but everything looks good as far as wiring and the breaker panel. This is not a boat that needs major repairs. This boat has sat unused for several years and needs fresh fuel and filters. I think everything it needs is mostly cosmetic and with updating and some effort a person can have an excellent luxury yacht for a fraction of what a new boat costs.Let me know if you have any questions or want to see the boat, Mike.
