Wellcraft 248

1983 Wellcraft 248 Sportsman with Mercruiser 260 and galvanized tandem axle trailer. The boat is in overall good condition. The deck where the seats mount was professionally repaired by the previous owner, but could use a little sealer on the joint now. The hull is deep v up forward, tapering to a modified v aft. It makes for a pretty decent ride cutting through the water while the modified v adds to stability and efficiency. I was told it was completely repowered in 2000. The engine and drive numbers are listed as 1998, so I was either misinformed, or it was leftover. The engine is a fuel injected 350 Chevy, and the package has approximately 370 hours on it. The trailer is a 2003 Sea Lion. I purchased it from the estate of the owner of a local marina. It did not come with paperwork, so it will have to be registered as homemade. The brake drums and hubs were removed by the previous owner. They can be easily replaced if you so choose. The only reason I'm listing it, is that I am considering downsizing. If it doesn't sell, I'll put it in the water and enjoy it for another season. $500.00 deposit due at the close of the auction, balance due within 72 hours unless otherwise agreed upon.
