Wellcraft 180 Sport Center Console

This is a no reserve auction for a used1988Wellcraft 180 Sport Center Console with 125 hp Force outboard .The trailer shown isincludedin the auction. We are listing this boat for a third party and are representing it in completelyas-iscondition at no reserve. Please read the add and view the pictures carefully before bidding as this boat will be sold to whoever has the high bid at theauctions end.We have included 106large pictures below the add to show you as much detailas possible as well as a description of condition. Our description of conditionis based on a brief and casual inspection and is only to help you decide its value. You are welcome to inspect the boat in person if you wish to do so. It is located in Old Saybrook Ct, 06475 and is available anytime by appointment.

This boat and trailer package is inoriginal condition. The engine may be newer than the boat and our guess is it is an early 90's model.It was recently washedand looks good. The gel coat on the hull and deck holds adecent shineand only has small age appropriate scratches and dings. The gel coat on the entire boat is original and wedid not notice any big previous repairs. The rub rail has some dings but nothing too major. The decks are solid with the exception of thefuel tank hatch. The defects we noticed worth mentioning are the broken area around the hinge on the forward locker, the anchor locker plastic hatch is missingand the shelf below the battery is completely rotted (see pictures). I'm sure you could lay a piece of new wood or PVC board below the battery easily. The dash and gauges look good as well. The bimini top is inpoor shape but still functional.

We brought the boat to our local ramp to test run the engine and check to see what powered up. Before running the boat we checked the accessories to see what powered up. Thenavigation lights,cockpitlights,bilge pump,fish finder, VHF marine radio and stereoall powered up.The power tilt will need to be replaced as it does not function. The previous owner was using the boat without the tilt and tilting the engine up manually. The engine cranked over well and fired up fast .The engine sounds greatand really runs well. All the gauges workedwith the exception of the speedometer.It shifts in and out of gear smooth and makesnoabnormal noises. It idles strong in gear and has great power.It pumps plenty of water and runs cool. We performed a compression test well and it has very good and even compression.

The trailer is fairly clean andsolid. We recommend replacing the winch strap with cablebut otherwise it works well. The carpet on the bunks looks to need re-stapling. The springs and axle are solid and the lights are brand new.We towed it about 80 miles with no problems. The tires hold air well but are lightly dry rotted. We can get the tires changed for you at actual costsbefore you pick it upif you would like.

We have the transferable registrations/title for the boat and bills of sale for the trailerreadyto transfer.The boat will need to be paid for in fulland picked up within one week of auction ending unless youhave made other arrangements with us.The deposit of $200.00 needs to be received within one day of auction close unless you have contacted us by phone and madeother payment arrangements with us as well.We are available to deliverthe boatanywhere for $2.00 per hauled mile if needed.
