Iacquiredthis boat from my mother in law in the fall of 2012. She had purchased it from a friend who said it wasn't running. My brother in law and I put a battery in it and determined that the flywheel was missing and that it had broken off the crankshaft. I thought that was the end of me and this boat.... I was wrong! My Mother in law called me and told me to come and get the boat and fix it for my family...
I was there the next day. I got it home pulled the engine apart and determined what it needed. I then started on the soft spot on the floor. That lead to a complete restoration. All the way down to the bottom of the hull. I used all marine grade plywood and built from the bottom up. Icompletely rewired it from front to back with marine grade wiring and added a automotive style face panel. While it was apart I repainted it using automotive two stage paint. It is the brightest pearl blue you could imagine. All in all it turned out great and we have not had any issues out of it on the water. The trailer axle has been apart and bearing's repacked. New trailer tires, wiring and lights as well as a new trailer jack. All that and we used it 3 times in 2013 and once in 2014. I have pulled this with my 2012 Cadillac CTS and itpulls nicely. The reality is that with my twins strting 1st grade this year is that we won't make the time I had hoped to enjoy al the work I put into this. Engine- The engine was machined for new Wiseco pistons at .040 over. All new seals, rings, etc. Rebuilt carbs, good used flywheel and crankshaft were sources and everything operates as it should. Hull- Hull is solid and has new paint. The paint quality is a 7 out of 10. I had some overspray issues when painting it. Trying to keep the clear wet from inside and out all at one time was a challenge. It looks great, but not up to my high standards. But also not worth repainting...Interior- New marine grade plywood, new outdoor carpet, new bilge pump, wiring, gauges (although the tach andspeedometer don't work), new battery, etc. The seat covering was the only thing that Idon't need to touch. It is in good shape with very few cracks and a few missingbuttons. Bimi top is in great shape. New radio and speakers. New bow lights, etc. etc, etc,All in all a very nice boat that I have hundreds of hours into. I'm looking to get the actual cash that I put into this and non of my labor. Please ask any and all questions prior to auction end.
