I purchased this boat new in October 2005 from Lynnehaven Marine in VA Beach, VA and have owned it since. It lives in a climate-controlled garage with no windows and while it's definitely been enjoyed, it could EASILY pass for 3 years old instead of 13. If there are 1000 hours on these motors, I'd be very surprised and would actually guess closer to 800 if I wasn't try to be extra careful with this listing. Because it never sat in the water or sun except days we used it, nothing is faded, the gelcoat is just as clear as the day after I bought it and pulled the Trophy Pro stickers off the sides so it would never have ghost stickers after the factory stickers peeled. And when it gets a good detailing every couple years, it really shines, the green is very deep. After taking it fishing in salt water, I'd always run it through the local Blue Beacon truck wash where they'd use plain soap on brushes and a TON of water, there is hardly a hint of rust or oxidation anywhere on the boat because salt/saltwater was never allowed to sit. This is a beast of a trailer boat, it's bigger and heavier so it rides noticeably better than most other trailer boats. Lightly loaded on smooth water, it will run 52 mph WOT with the Mirage Plus props and in rough water (small craft advisories), it will tuck its bow and make steady headway without beating the passengers to death. I have fished this boat at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay when almost everyone else gave up because of the weather and never once felt unsafe, even holding it broadside to the cement bridge pilings in 5' chop so my buddies could cast for schooling Stripers. It's amazingly stable compared to other boats trying to fish in the exact same conditions. It's got a sharp bow but quickly transitions to a modified V so it doesn't rock and roll like a boat built just to cut through waves. It's a confidence inspiring boat compared any other trailer boats I've owned or fished in saltwater. Like any boat, the captain ultimately determines the ride but when you can walk on past 99% of the other guys when headed for the barn with fish in the fish boxes and those salty Mercs howling, it's a darned nice feeling. And speaking of howling motors, I believe it's good to run two strokes WOT at the end of the day to 'blow the carbon out'. It also gives immediate feedback on the health of the motors, I lost a coil once and only noticed because it was down a few mph from normal. Running them WOT at the end of the day combined with regular maintenance and Mercury Premium Plus oil has kept these two motors running stronger than ever. From a dead stop, this boat feels like it's leaping out of the water and if your passengers aren't ready, they'll be on their ass. The motors were just serviced last Spring when I taught my adult son how to change plugs, fuel filter, thermostats, impellers, and lower unit oil. I then filled the tank with ethanol-free gas and we took it wakeboarding exactly one time a few months later, it's got close to 200 gallons left. The curtains are new 3 years ago from a highly rated ($4500) shop in VA Beach, VA and they've only left the driveway once after replacement. The clear plastic is VERY thick, too thick to bend,
but there are rollups or snaps to hold them all open. Everything about
the new enclosure is top notch and the black cover for trailering is a
nice upgrade, you won't start the fishing trip by cleaning bugs off the
boat windshield. The aluminum trailer is made by Road King in NC. When the trailer was made for this boat, I also purchased the disc brakes, posi-lube axles, and stainless steel hardware upgrades. The tires are 3 or 4 years old but they've been out of the sun, have less than 1,000 miles on them, and all hold 80 psi. The spare was the newest replacement for a factory tire when I replaced all 6 at once. I keep the posi-lube hubs greased and have never had a problem. I added the extra bearing buddy cover over the posi-lube end plug shortly after buying the boat/trailer and together, no water can get to the bearings. I drove the boat around the block a few times before putting it back in the garage yesterday and couldn't feel any warmth in any of the hubs. To be safe for a long drive, I'd take a grease gun along and give the bearings a few pumps after 50 miles or so when the bearings are warm but as far as I can tell, it's ready to go cross country. The Garmin system has maps for all US lakes plus the eastern seaboard. The electronics are older but everything works and the radar dish is low enough to get under 13' 6" height detectors. Turn on the left display unit first, it's connected to the GPS. If you turn the right one on first, the system goes into demo mode because that display doesn't have it's own GPS antenna. The star-drag 114H fishing reels were serviced a few years ago by a friend who was temporarily unemployed and they haven't been used since servicing. The outriggers are 18' and not bent or corroded. I use weedeater line to rig the outriggers and for the planer boards, there are examples and new weedeater line included. The windlass is new and has only been used once or twice. The bean bags are marine grade and ridiculously comfortable. The life raft has been repacked one time and is due again. I believe this raft can be repacked at least 3 times so it's got some life left in it.The truck isn't included but everything you see in, on,
and beside the boat are included in this auction. After I took these pictures, I packed all the gear in
the boat with blankets and sleeping bags in between to keep things from rubbing so the boat is ready to go fishing or wakeboarding anywhere you tow it or have it towed. I will make the boat available for inspection at my home until the auction ends and after the winning bidder makes the good faith deposit, I will take them on a sea trial before expecting full payment. My word means a lot to me as my feedback indicates and this auction is no different, I want the buyer to be pleasantly surprised instead of disappointed.
