1976 TROJAN 32 - One of the most popular production boats ever designed, the Trojan 32 is an affordable blend of traditional styling, comfortable accommodations, and good all-around performance. The profile is impressive and the 360 degree visibility from the main salon gives an open spacious feel to the living space. A teak interior and quality Bamboo hardwood flooring give the interior a rich feel. Numerous updates to the ships systems include newer AGM batteries, newer battery charger, HAIER Washer/Dryer, galley and more.
She was built on an easy riding modified V hull and solid fiberglass construction and powered by twin Chrysler 318 V8 gasoline engines, producing about 200 hp each. The floor plan featured a mid-level galley opposite the lower helm and berth forward. Outside, the cockpit is big enough (60 sq. ft.) for any Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay fishing, and the tournament style fly bridge provides seating for up to five.
Background: The boat needs some attention to the lower deck area to seal small areas to prevent water from entering the bilge. The dining seats could be re-upholstered at this point with new cloth. The bimini top is available, but the zipper needs to be repaired. The engine has a new water pump and exhaust hosing and needs fuel filter and tank level sending units re-assembled/re-installed and carbs cleaned/oil changed. Filters have been re-located to be more accessible, but boat has not been run for several years since last bottom job (~3 years) due to military owner move from Suffolk, VA to Pax River, MD.
PowerBoat Guide Description:
There were more Trojan 32s built (over 2,700 in all) than any other production fiberglass boat over 30 feet in the business. Her appeal was a straightforward combination of an affordable price, contemporary design, and roomy cabin accommodations. Several versions of the Trojan 32 were offered over the years including Hardtop and Express models, a Flybridge Express (with an open lower helm), and the very popular Flybridge Sedan pictured. All were built on a low deadrise modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam and solid fiberglass construction. Surprisingly, the basic interior and exterior design of the Sedan remained largely unchanged during her long production run. A lower helm was standard, and wrap-around cabin windows give the interior a bright and wide-open appearance.
