Summary
This Trojan 10 Meter Express (purchased June 23, 1999) was purchased, operated and enjoyed for 6 years on Narragansett Bay by the current owner and his family. Upon seasonal haul-out in 2005, the boat was placed into a heated storage building for the purpose of a partial refit and restoration project to enhance the qualities the owner enjoyed throughout the boat. This partial refit grew substantial into a complete refit and restoration project. The project encompassed all structural, cosmetic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Details of the refit and restoration project are highlighted in the specification on the website along with pictures of each specification.
During the three year refit process, a marine surveyor was contacted and schedule inspections were provided during stages of the repair process. The methods, materials and processes are well documented and followed the current marine industry guidelines and recommendations provided by the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), USCG, and followed all requirements provided in the Code of Federal Regulations.
The owner of this boat is an experienced boat operator with a lifetime of on water experiences. The owner was technically and mechanically involved and managed the refit and restoration project. When and only where necessary; the owner enlisted professional boat builders and systems technicians when time-frames or their expertise was required.
