Tiara fishing boat was purchased in the spring of 2017 from a salvage company. It was reported that the boat took on water at the dock in lake Michigan (fresh water). It was also documented that the marina Pickled and Drained both engines and the generator. Upon further inspection we discovered that the Starboard engine suffered freeze damage over the winter. Both engines run and have new starters and batteries. The port engine has good temp and oil pressure...we ran it for approximately 15 hours. The Starboard Engine is getting water directly into the oil pan from the cooling system. We are not sure if it is the front cover, popped freeze plug, or a cracked engine block. Regardless, the boat needs some TLC and may need the starboard engine replaced. The interior has been cleaned and the teak is ready for oil. The dashboard is not powered up...it could just be a fuse, no-one has looked at it. We have not tried to use the electronics. This is a project boat.
